THOMAS W. WHEELER, JR., President, has worked for over thirty-five years in all phases of real estate with concentration in shopping centers from regional malls to specialty centers and commercial land. Tom worked with well-known Atlanta developer Scott Hudgens from 1972 to 1991, was President of Scott Hudgens Companies from 1980, and equity partner in numerous properties. He has negotiated numerous constructions and financing transactions, partnership agreements, major tenant leases, (i.e. Sears, Belk, Parisian, Penney, Target, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Kohl's, etc.) and operating agreements (i.e. Sears, Penney, Belk, Macy, Federated, K-Mart, Kohl's, etc.), and has sold many commercial sites and facilities. He has extensive experience in construction, zoning, property management, and governmental affairs. He is active in numerous industry and community organizations, and has been a member of Georgia's Board of Natural Resources since 1993 and Chairman of the North Georgia Mountain Authority since 2001.
